The Missouri women’s swimming and diving team finished in 11th place at the 2016 NCAA Championships, the most successful finish in team history. Nine Tigers earned All-America honors.
Junior Nadine Laemmler started off the fourth and final day of competition for Missouri with a 16th place finish in the 200-yard backstroke. She touched the wall in 1:52.94. At the meet, she earned All-America honors in four events.
The Missouri breaststroke duo of junior Katharine Ross and senior Abby Duncan continued their strong showings in the 200-yard breaststroke. Ross touched in ninth in 2:07.24, and Duncan took 10th with a time of 2:07.49.
Sophomore Sharli Brady earned All-America honors in the 200-yard butterfly for the second straight season. She took 13th with a time of 1:56.43.
The Tigers’ success continued in the diving well. Sophomore Madeline McKernan became an All-American with a seventh place finish in the platform diving competition.

Missouri had the third-highest finish at the meet among Southeastern Conference teams. Georgia took first overall with 414 points, and Texas A&M was fourth.
