####Movie
“My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2” comes out today, and if you haven’t seen the first one yet, that should be one of your spring break priorities. The original “Big Fat Greek Wedding” is a goofy and touching romantic comedy centered around the main character, Toula Portokalos (Nia Vardalos), as she falls in love with someone outside her culture. The comedy and heart of the movie stems from Vardalos’ struggles of getting her family to accept the person she wants to marry. And of course, there’s a big fat Greek wedding. Before you see the sequel this weekend, be sure to refresh yourself with the tender and hilarious moments of the first movie.
####Show to binge
“How to Get Away With Murder” just aired the finale last week, and boy, did Shonda Rhimes do it right again. The finale was deep-rooted in family problems with a slow burn until the explosive finish. The second half of season two is on Hulu, and if you’re needing a short show to get invested in over spring break, definitely add HTGAWM to your queue. After that, why not get into Grey’s Anatomy or Scandal? Rhimes is a television genius, and that makes bingeing her shows a perfect pastime. Welcome to ShondaLand.
####Song
I’ll say this — I don’t like Ariana Grande. From what I’ve seen of her by portrayals in the media and her actions with [“Sam and Cat”](http://hollywoodlife.com/2014/07/13/sam-cat-canceled-one-episode-left-jennette-mccurdy-nude-photo-scandal/) and the [donut store,](http://www.dailymail.co.uk/video/tvshowbiz/video-1197200/Ariana-Grande-shares-donut-shop-PDA-licks-donuts.html) I just don’t like her vibe. But her new song has recently risen to the top of my Spotify most played. “Dangerous Woman” off her new album of the same name could easily become the go-to song for jamming with the windows down. Bonus: “Be Alright” from the same album is pretty good too. Even though Grande isn’t my favorite artist, I can’t wait for this album to come out in full on May 20.
####Novel
As I wrote about in one of my [columns last semester](http://move.themaneater.com/stories/2015/12/1/black-white-and-read-love-affair-cassandra-clare/#.VvRZT5MrK3U), Cassandra Clare accepts young adult tropes and makes them irresistible. Although the plotlines in her novels sometimes can toe the line with cliches, Clare paints a picture of an intricate and fascinating world that I just can’t help but love. Though I’m probably too old to be reading young adult fiction, I couldn’t resist buying Clare’s latest in the Shadowhunter world, “Lady Midnight.” The book delves into the faerie world more so than Clare’s other novels, and of course, the romance scenes get me every time. If you’re looking for a great read (but not a particularly deep one), then this is definitely the novel for you.
####Wine and recipe pairing:
For a classy but chill beginning to spring break, try a light sparkling [Vinho Verde](http://www.thedomesticfront.com/trader-joes-cheap-wine-pick-espiral-vinho-verde/) with some [buttermilk fried chicken](http://allrecipes.com/recipe/8805/crispy-fried-chicken/). The chicken has large portions so you can invite all your friends over to celebrate having no school for a week. Hallelujah. Plus, the wine is cheap. It’s a win for everyone.
####Friday event:
Deja Vu Comedy Club will be hosting B.T. and Cameron Buchholtz this weekend. B.T. has performed at the HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival and the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and is known for his physical style of comedy. Buchholtz, on the other hand, has a podcast called “No Brown M&Ms” where he interviews rock musicians. The event should be a great way to kick off spring break if you’re still in town. The show starts at 9 p.m. and is only $9.
I'm at Deja Vu Comedy Club in Columbia, MO tonight through Saturday. I hope Mizzou likes dumb classic rock jokes.

####Saturday event:
I mentioned this a few weeks ago for MOVE Recs, but I think it’s worth mentioning again. The Columbia Farmers Market is this Saturday at the ARC on West Ash Street from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The market features flowers, natural foods, live music and crafts and it’s a perfect, chill way to really get spring break going. Vendors are from mid-Missouri and all the funds go straight back into the local community, so there are no downsides. This week will feature Bon Femme Honey and Pasta Italia’s homemade pasta.
