
Missouri graduate Dominique Bouchard qualified for the 2016 Rio Olympics in swimming. The 2013 graduate earned a spot on Team Canada after a second-place finish in the 100-meter backstroke at Canadian Olympic Trials in Toronto.
Bouchard posted the world’s 12th fastest time in 2016, touching the wall of 59.96. Kylie Masse took the top spot with a time of 59.06.

Former Tiger Mack Darragh also competed at the meet. He placed first in the men’s 200-meter butterfly with a time of 1:58.22, but missed the automatic Olympic qualifying time of 1:56.97.
Canadian Olympic Trials will continue through April 10. Darragh will also compete in the 100-meter butterfly and 200-meter individual medley, and Bouchard will race the 200-meter backstroke.
