This month has been a spectacular month if you’re a junkie for live music. It’s only the beginning of April, and there have already been several well-known artists who have stopped by Columbia. In particular, this past week featured three big-name musical acts. Alt-soul quartet X Ambassadors [performed last Friday night at Jesse Auditorium](http://move.themaneater.com/stories/2016/4/9/x-ambassadors-concert-brims-soul-and-passion/#.VwxLOBIrL-Y), indie-emo rockers The Front Bottoms [played for a sold out crowd Saturday at The Blue Note](http://move.themaneater.com/stories/2016/4/10/front-bottoms-performance-filled-raw-emotion/#.VwxLWBIrL-Y) and [Kurt Vile will be performing tonight at The Blue Note](http://move.themaneater.com/stories/2016/4/5/kurt-vile-talks-new-album-inspiration-and-experien/#.VwxLZs64now).

####X Ambassadors
X Ambassadors has a deep understanding of the music they make, and they succeeded in communicating that to the audience. They know how to engage their fans and make them feel like they are a vital element of the show.
####The Front Bottoms
In all honesty, I had not heard of The Front Bottoms until I saw that they were playing at The Blue Note in early April. With that being said, I knew some of the songs and lyrics, but not all of them like the majority of the people in the venue. I may not have been nearly as familiar with the band as most people in the room were, but I had an amazing time. It was one of the most energetic concerts I have been to in a while and it was truly a fun experience.
####Kurt Vile
Folk-rocker Kurt Vile is full of musical creativity and experience. The former guitarist of indie shoegaze band The War On Drugs recently released his sixth studio album “b’lieve i’m goin down…” and will be making a stop at several festivals this summer such as Lollapalooza and Osheaga. He recently spoke with MOVE about his inspiration, the creative process of his new LP and a future collaboration with Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth fame.
