The MU Police Department is investigating a robbery that was reported Thursday night near Wolpers residence hall. Students were first notified of the robbery through the MU Alert mass notification system around 8:40 p.m.
According to [MU Alert](http://mualert.missouri.edu), a food delivery driver said the suspect demanded money and that there was a gun at the scene. MU Alert reported at 9:45 p.m. that there was no evidence of a current threat to campus. MUPD and Columbia Police will continue to search for the suspect.
The suspect was described as a 6-foot-tall black male in his late 20s with some facial hair and a shoulder-to-elbow tattoo. The suspect was said to have been holding a dark-colored handgun.
MUPD spokesman Brian Weimer declined to provide additional information. The Columbia Police Department’s K-9 unit was working with MUPD as of Thursday night.
