Here are a few takeaways from the first half:
**Lock throws better than he runs**: Drew Lock fumbled at the goal line on an attempted quarterback sneak, killing a Missouri drive in the first quarter. Luckily for the Tigers, the sophomore was much more successful with his arm. He completed 14 of 19 passes for 289 yards and three touchdowns.
**Penton comes up big**: Cornerback Aarion Penton intercepted his second pass of the season and returned the ball 63 yards to the Eastern Michigan 7-yard line. He also broke up two passes in coverage.
**Special teams has its ups and downs**: Redshirt freshman Johnathon Johnson returned a punt for 54 yards for a touchdown to close out the the first quarter. Unfortunately for Missouri, the Tigers have missed two extra points.
**Run defense struggles to contain Eastern Michigan**: The Eagles rushed for 112 yards in the first half.
**Sacks hard to come by**: Missouri’s defensive line has not recorded a sack yet this season. Not a good sign for Charles Harris and company.
**Good-Ish running**: Ish Witter showed improved strength and poise, rushing for 47 yards and a touchdown.
