The Missouri men’s basketball team is no longer without a 2017 commit.
C.J. Roberts announced his verbal commitment to the Tigers on Monday by tweeting a photo and statement. Rivals.com classified Roberts as a four-star point guard.
Roberts’ commitment comes after he made an official visit to Columbia this past weekend. He also had offers from Louisiana State, Mississippi, Texas Tech and Georgia, among others.
“I am very excited to start this new chapter in my life,” Roberts said in his statement.
Roberts, a North Richland Hills, Texas, native, is listed at 6-foot-1 on maxpreps.com. As a junior, he averaged 22.5 points per game for Richland High School.
With Roberts’ commitment, Missouri has one scholarship remaining for the 2017 class.
