Records [obtained by the Columbia Daily Tribune](http://www.columbiatribune.com/news/education/turmoil_at_mu/mu-reports-show-long-history-of-sanctions-allegations-against-delta/article_f3217d73-ba5c-54b7-8b9f-643ee424c0dd.html) show MU’s Delta Upsilon fraternity has received a total of 18 sanctions from the university since August 2015, including allegations that fraternity members provided date-rape drugs to pledges.
The university [suspended the fraternity](https://www.themaneater.com/stories/2016/9/28/mupd-investigating-harassment-lbc-members/) Sept. 28 after it came under fire for allegations of using racial slurs against Legion of Black Collegians members. New reports show the fraternity was already under investigation for other charges, and the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX sent a letter to the fraternity regarding allegations that members gave pledges pills to drug women.
“Should my office receive information indicating that there is any veracity to the allegations that Delta Upsilon promoted sexual misconduct and hazing, an investigation will begin immediately,” Title IX Administrator Ellen Eardley wrote in the letter.
A [press release](http://www.deltau.org/nosecrets/media) posted to the international DU fraternity’s website stated that the MU chapter was not under investigation for the incident. According to the release, the only two investigations the fraternity faces are for allegations of involvement in racial slurs directed against LBC members and alcohol violations.
“The allegations that Fraternity associate members received pills to be used to incapacitate and rape women were rumors found to be unsubstantiated by the university,” the release stated. “No formal charges were filed against the chapter. Such rumors are disgusting and egregious.”
Other sanctions against the fraternity include physical abuse, theft and providing and distributing alcohol to minors. In August 2015, the fraternity received sanctions twice for violation of university property when members stole a stop sign on Fifth Street and Turner Avenue. The next month, the Office of Student Conduct placed the fraternity on probation for providing and distributing alcohol to underage women.
MU Spokesman Christian Basi could not confirm which investigations against the fraternity are currently ongoing.
“The University of Missouri’s Office of Student Conduct and the MU Office of Civil Rights and Title IX are investigating allegations concerning Delta Upsilon fraternity, and they have been placed on temporary suspension,” Basi said. “Due to privacy laws and policies, we cannot comment on specific allegations.”
After the investigation, punishment for specific infractions are determined with evidence on a case-by-case basis, Basi told the Tribune.
Delta Upsilon International Fraternity released a statement saying the alleged activities of the MU chapter will not be condoned or tolerated.
