The Columbia Police Department arrested Missouri football wide receiver Keyon Dilosa early Wednesday morning following an altercation outside of Harpo’s.
Public information officer Latisha Stroer told The Maneater that a witness observed the redshirt sophomore arguing with a 20-year-old woman with whom he had an intimate relationship. The witness reported seeing Dilosa strike the woman one time in the face with a closed fist, Stroer said.
The witness told police that bystanders restrained Dilosa until officers arrived. Dilosa was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault in the third degree and was processed at 3:19 a.m. Bail was listed at $1,000.
Dilosa posted bail and was released. He was subsequently suspended from the football team indefinitely.
“We are aware of the situation and are addressing it internally,” MU spokesman Shawn Davis said. “He is suspended indefinitely while we work to learn more.”
This is the second time this month a Missouri football player has been arrested. Freshman running back Damarea Crockett was arrested earlier in the month on suspicion of possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana.
