Slidell High School senior Ishmael Burdine, a 4-star recruit and the top safety in the state of Louisiana’s 2019 class, committed to play for Missouri on Friday. Burdine announced his decision in a video on NOLA.com at 3 p.m.
Burdine received an offer from Mizzou on February 21st and took an official visit to the school during the weekend of June 8th.
With the addition of Burdine, The Tigers’ 2019 class ranks 53rd nationally according to Rivals. However, the class ranks just 13th in the SEC.
Burdine also had offers from Wisconsin, Tennessee and Mississippi State among others. This year, Burdine is averaging 5.2 tackles per game and has one interception.
