Missouri kept the momentum going into the third set, never giving up the lead. With the Tigers up 15-6, the Bulldogs went on a 6-0 run, but Missouri was able to take back control and win the set, 25-16, hitting .350 in the set with 17 kills.
The Tigers finished the match hitting .327 with 45 kills and 11 errors. Sophomore Kylie Deberg and Hollingsworth led the Tigers with 13 and 10 kills, respectively. Member-Meneh posted a .600 hitting percentage with nine kills. Sophomore Tyanna Omazic tallied four blocks. Redshirt freshman Andrea Fuentes had 35 assists for Missouri, while redshirt junior Riley Sents led the team with 16 digs.
“Overall, I was pleased today,” coach Wayne Kreklow said in a press release. “I thought we came out with good focus and energy. The Sunday match of a two-match weekend on the road is always a physical and mental challenge, but I thought we showed some maturity today. There’s lot of stuff we can still get better at, but we’re slowly but surely picking away at them.”
Missouri (16-4, 6-2 SEC) will head back home to take on Auburn (8-10, 1-7 SEC) Friday at 6 p.m. at Mizzou Arena.
