Missouri women’s basketball announced Monday that freshman Grace Berg will transfer from the university. The announcement came shortly before the Tigers’ matchup against South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina.
Berg played in each of the team’s first 19 games, averaging 3.8 points in 12.7 minutes per contest. Both figures rank second among the team’s freshmen this season behind Akira Levy.
Her best performance as a Tiger came on Nov. 13, when she scored 12 points and added four rebounds in a win over Missouri State.
The Indianola, Iowa native arrived in Columbia ranked 37th in the national 2018 recruiting class, according to ESPN.
The move leaves Levy and Haley Troup as the only active freshmen on Missouri’s roster. Another freshman, Brittany Garner, has yet to make her debut for the program. According to ESPN, coach Robin Pingeton is set to bring in the country’s No. 12 recruiting class next fall, featuring five-star recruits Aijha Blackwell and Hayley Frank.
