UM officials have delayed classes and other operations until 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20.
MU students, staff and faculty received the fourth severe weather alert of the semester, this time warning students of slick surfaces on sidewalks and roads due to predicted snow.
“Delaying the start of full operations until 10 a.m. will give us the extra time that our crews need to make sure campus is ready,” Gary Ward, vice chancellor for operations, said in the email alert. “As I’ve stated before, this very unusual winter weather has created a lot of challenges for our campus this year. We are very grateful to our employees who have worked during these closures to ensure our campus remains safe.”
All MU Health Care hospitals and the Veterinary Health Center Hospital will remain open 24/7, along with Campus Dining Services, according to the email.
Students are encouraged to exercise judgment about their ability to travel for the duration of this weather alert, according to the email.
