Missouri volleyball (11-4, 3-2 SEC) won Friday at Auburn (6-11, 0-6 SEC) to give it a winning record in the SEC. MU secured a 3-1 win with set scores of 25-12, 25-14, 21-25 and 27-25.
Within the match, four visiting Tigers posted 10 or more kills with a collective team hitting percentage of .257 compared to Auburn’s .137. Redshirt sophomore setter Andrea Fuentes continued to set up the offense by recording 43 assists.
Junior Kylie Deberg led the Missouri offense with 18 kills, making this the 10th time this season where she has recorded at least 18. Deberg also posted 11 digs to give her a team-leading fourth double-double of the season. Junior Dariana Hollingsworth-Santana contributed a season-high 15 kills of her own as well as 15 digs, producing her first double-double of the season. Hollingsowrth-Santana also matched her single-match high hitting percentage reaching .462 on the day.
Junior outside hitter Leketor Member-Meneh and junior middle blocker Tyanna Omazic posted 11 kills each throughout the match with Member-Meneh contributing three aces and a .357 hitting percentage and Omazic producing two total blocks.
On defense, redshirt senior Riley Sents contributed 16 digs, one ace and five assists while Fuentes also posted nine digs of her own .
“We were a little inconsistent tonight, but I was pleased with our fight in the end of set four,” coach Joshua Taylor said. “It’s always a good trip whenever you can walk away with a road SEC win.”
Missouri returns home to the Hearnes Center Sunday, Oct. 20 to take on Tennessee (9-8, 3-4 SEC) in its fifth conference match of the season.
