Missouri wide receiver Jonathan Nance was arrested Friday morning for failing to appear in court for a traffic violation, MU Police confirmed. The graduate transfer was pulled over near Memorial Stadium for failing to stop at a stop sign when police discovered the warrant, which stemmed from a seatbelt violation in June.
Dave Matter of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch was the first to report the news.
Nance is still expected to suit up and play against Tennessee on Saturday, a team spokesman confirmed.
“We’re aware of Jonathan’s situation and are addressing it internally,” the statement said. “He will be dressed and available for tomorrow’s game.”
Nance leads Missouri with 410 receiving yards this season after transferring from Arkansas.
