Aries: Something actually scary!

Show everyone how it’s done and dress up as something that’ll cause goose bumps! After all — as a fiery Aries — you need to turn heads with your costume. Take the traditional approach and dress up as a common monster, or get specific and pick a character from a recent horror movie. The monster from “Barbarian,” The Grabber from “The Black Phone” or Art the Clown from “Terrifier 2” are all great contenders. Make a friend dress up as your victim to really drive it home!

Taurus: An off-duty model

The only thing that Taurus don’t want to be for Halloween is uncomfortable. That’s why dressing up as an off-duty model is the perfect match. It gives you the perfect excuse to wear a sweat suit or simply some jeans and a tank. Just say you’re Kendall Jenner! Plus, after your long night out, you’ll be able to hop right into bed — I know that’s what you will have been looking forward to all night.

Gemini: The twins from The Shining

Since Gemini’s are represented by the twins, what could be better than dressing up as an actual set of spooky twins? The twins from “The Shining” are as recognizable as they are obscure. Gemini certainly appreciate that. So, grab your closest friend and channel “come play with us.” Bonus points if they are also a Gemini!

Cancer: A group costume

If you’re going out at all, it’s a given it’ll be with all your friends — as is typical of Cancers. So, grab as many of your friends as possible and coordinate! You could go the typical approach of recognizable groups from popular culture or have everyone dress up as the same theme. Whatever you end up choosing, the more the merrier! That’s all that matters to you.

Leo: Your favorite album cover

The number one goal of your Halloween costume will be staying true to yourself. You are the star of the night, so making sure that people know what you are and how much you love it is top priority. Feeling minimalistic? Throw on a white bodysuit and jacket and you’re “Ctrl” by SZA. Feeling rebellious? Stick some stickers on your face and you’re “Sour” by Olivia Rodrigo. Feeling vintage … and scruffy? Grab a fur coat and a baby doll and you’re “McCartney” by Paul McCartney. There’s an opportunity for some great Instagram photos too!

Virgo: Whatever you were last year!

Face it Virgo, you would rather do anything else instead of spending precious time and money on another costume. Skip the shopping, and just go as what you were last year! It’s super reliable, plus you can focus on getting ahead on schoolwork to truly enjoy Halloween weekend when it comes around— what could be better than that?

You have been looking forward to Halloween’s social events since last Halloween. It’s the perfect night to stay true to your sign and become the personification of a social butterfly! Throw on a pair of wings, some antennae and get ready to mingle! You’ll definitely make lifelong — or night-long — friends.

Scorpio: A 2022 pop culture moment

An iconic sign needs an iconic costume. Dress up as a moment that has shaped 2022 pop culture: Harry Styles on the front of the “Better Homes & Gardens” magazine, the Try Guys in the infamous “what happened” video, a character from season two of “Euphoria” or literally any of Julia Foxx’s looks this year. People will easily be able to identify you, sparing you from repeatedly explaining yourself throughout the night. That would simply be the worst.

Sagittarius: Taylor Swift (or one of her exes)

Dress up as our favorite Sagittarius this Halloween! With her new album, “Midnights,” hot off the press, this costume is extremely relevant. You can dress up as one of her many eras — pick your favorite— to bring some nostalgia into your costume. Or, if you’re not feeling the bangs and red lipstick, you can go as one of her equally-as-famous exes: Jake Gyllenhaal, Taylor Lautner or Joe Jonas to name a few. It is also a simple yet effective couples costume, for those of you who will be with your beau or best friend this Halloween.

Capricorn: Keep it simple

Okay, I know I said no basic costumes, but you’re the excuse Capricorn. You are entirely too swamped to curate some elaborate costume. So to ease the stress, just throw on something simple! If you don’t want to go the cliché route, there are plenty of simple costumes that are still unique! The denim from your closet can easily turn into Britney Spear’s at the 2001 American Music Awards! Or if you have some cat ears laying around, transform into Catwoman! Then, you’ll still stand out in a sea of angels and cowboys.

Aquarius: A historically accurate costume

Nothing is worse for an Aquarius than showing up wearing the same costume as someone else. So why not dress up in a completely historically accurate costume to blow everyone else out of the water. Go as a famous woman in history, such as the one and only Janis Joplin or Josephine Baker in her banana skirt. Or dress as a specific decade — complete with clothing from the actual time period. It’s perfectly unique for your sign, and you can throw out some random facts that we all know you have saved up.

Pisces: A 2014 Tumblr user

It isn’t a secret that Pisces are the emotional sign of the zodiac. So, release your inner #sadgirl and dress up as someone straight from the golden years of Tumblr. I’m talking a black turtleneck, cuffed jeans and Dr. Marten boots. If you’re feeling extra dedicated, bust out that flannel to tie around your waste. You’ll get to feel like nobody understands you all night, which is a good thing.
