Climate Leaders at Mizzou invited various community members from Columbia, like Mark Haim, to give speeches to commemorate the Climate Strike in Columbia, MO on April 21, 2023. MidMissouri Peaceworks Director Mark Haim, in addition to holding up the climate banners, gave a speech telling students that they “deserve a future.”

The goal of the strike was to get 500 people to sign the petition. Many other universities around the country have divested funds from fossil fuel companies and CLAM hopes Mizzou will follow suit.
