Alongside several satellite shows and a race, the Biscuit Beats and Brews music festival at the Ozark Mountain Biscuit and Bar will run all weekend.
The Ozark Mountain Biscuit Co. hosts the third annual Biscuits Beats and Brews music festival in Rocheport from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1.
The event at the Ozark Mountain Biscuit and Bar features live music from bands such as Post Sex Nachos and The Hooten Hallers. Alongside the music, there is silent disco for children, grape crushing and face painting.
Due to a high number of bands reaching out for the festival, management planned satellite shows at Mount Nebo Inn, Rocheport General Store, Dive Bar and Les Bourgeois Vineyards. These venues will have additional bands performing in conjunction with the festival.
Attendance for the main festival and satellite shows is free. Food, beer and craft goods from various vendors can be purchased outside The Ozark Mountain Biscuit and Bar.
In addition to the musical performances, the Betsy Farris Biscuit Run takes place on Sept. 30 at Flat Branch Park. In honor of former Roots N Blues Festival director Betsy Farris, the run has a half marathon, 10K and 5K. Upon completion, participants receive a free breakfast burrito and biscuit.
The run previously took place during TreeLine Music Fest, which is now canceled. In order to make the event happen for the 2023 season, it is now affiliated with Biscuits Beats and Brews.
Festival organizers encourage attendees to park outside Rocheport city limits in order to lessen traffic. During the duration of the event, free parking is available at Les Bourgeois Vineyards properties, and shuttles are provided to bring people from parking areas to the Ozark Mountain Biscuit and Bar.
