Zeta Tau Alpha held its “Dig For a Cure” sand volleyball tournament on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2024 to raise money for its national foundation. Zeta Tau Alpha focuses on breast cancer research, awareness and education through their philanthropy. Teams that participated in the tournament were composed of members of other Greek Life organizations, including various fraternities and sororities.
Teams play a single set to 25 points in the first round of the tournament bracket at the Zeta Tau Alpha “Dig For a Cure” sand volleyball tournament. Each team paid an entry fee, and all money was forwarded to the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation.Several members from Kappa Sigma and Phi Delta Theta sit on a bench waiting for their volleyball game to be called. Theta Chi won the whole tournament after four rounds and received a banner for its victory. The MU chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha has existed for over 125 years, and consists of over 220 current members.MU first-year student and Zeta Tau Alpha sorority member Mia Tomlinson fills in the tournament bracket as teams win. From coordinating registration, to creating signs, several dozen members of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority were involved in running the event.
