After Missouri’s first-round exit from March Madness, the program turned its attention to the offseason – more specifically, the transfer portal. The portal has been open since March 24 and April 22 is the deadline for players to enter the portal.
At this point, things are subject to change, but four Missouri players have entered their names in the portal. There are currently 13 players on the Tigers’ roster with Anthony Robinson ll, T.O. Barrett, Annor Boateng, Trent Burns, Trent Pierce, Peyton Marshall, Mark Mitchell and Jacob Crews making up the returners. Incoming freshmen Aaron Rowe and Nicholas Randall along with three transfer portal additions round out the 13.
Here is a look at the current incoming and outgoing players for Missouri at this point in the transfer cycle.
Incoming Transfers
Jevon Porter
Porter was the first addition to Missouri’s transfer class, having committed on March 27. His last name is a familiar one to the program, as his older brothers Jontay and Michael Porter both spent time with the Tigers.
The 6-foot-11-inch forward spent his first two seasons at Pepperdine before transferring to Loyola-Marymount for his junior year. Porter has career averages of 13.3 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists while shooting 43.2 percent from the field. He will have one season of eligibility remaining.
With how the roster currently stands, Missouri has two likely starters in Robinson and Mitchell. Porter’s size and skill set could allow him to slot into the starting lineup, but due to a lack of high-major experience, he may instead be a high-quality bench piece.
Luke Northweather
Northweather made his commitment on April 6 and has two seasons of eligibility remaining. He is a Missouri native, coming out of Blair Oaks High School, and joins the Tigers after spending two years at Oklahoma.
He stands at 6-feet-11-inches and provides another big body in place of Josh Gray, who has run out of eligibility. Northweather has career averages of 2.4 points and 1.5 rebounds in 10.1 minutes per game.
Coming into Missouri with no collegiate starts under his belt means that there are no guaranteed minutes for Northweather on a team that was a No. 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament. At the very least, Northweather provides frontcourt depth with SEC experience.
Sebastian Mack
Mack was the most recent and final commit so far for the Tigers on April 7. He has two years of eligibility remaining after spending two seasons at UCLA and is rated as a four-star transfer.
The 6-foot-3-inch guard brings plenty of starting experience, primarily from his freshman year during which he started 30 games. Mack averaged 12.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game in his first season before taking on a bench role during his sophomore year. He boasts career averages of 9.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.
Mack projects to slot in next to Robinson in the backcourt to form a tenacious defensive duo. Even if the former Bruin does not fill a starting spot, he will certainly play a prominent role for the Tigers next season.
Outgoing Transfers
Aidan Shaw
Shaw entered the portal on March 25 and has already found his new home at Boston College, where he’ll use his last season of eligibility. The Kansas native spent three years with Missouri but never saw consistent minutes in his three years as a Tiger.
Shaw averaged 3.0 points and 2.5 rebounds as a Tiger but saw his minutes dwindle from sophomore to junior year. He joins a Boston College team that finished 12-19 in the ACC last year, giving Shaw a clear path to play for the Eagles.
Marcus Allen
Allen entered the portal on April 4 after spending one season with Missouri. He played the most minutes of any freshman for Missouri with 239 total minutes.
Allen averaged 2.6 points and 2.0 rebounds per game in his lone season as a Tiger. He is not rated as a transfer prospect and there is still a chance that he stays with Missouri.
Peyton Marshall
Marshall was the latest outgoing Tiger, entering the portal on April 13. The former four-star high school recruit only logged 95 minutes in his inaugural season.
Marshall averaged 1 point and 1.1 rebounds per game in his limited minutes. He is also an unrated transfer prospect and has yet to make his transfer decision.
Danny Stephens and JV Brown
The walk-on duo rounded out the departures after it was announced that new roster limits would take effect for the 2025-26 season. Rosters will be capped off at 15 scholarship players, which makes it harder for walk-ons to get opportunities.
The transfer process is still ongoing and there are currently two scholarship spots open, but that number could increase with more departures from the roster. It’s likely that Missouri lands one or two more rotation players from the portal.
