Missouri women’s golf wrapped up play at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas on Wednesday, Oct. 1, finishing seventh out of 10 teams.
The Tigers ended the tournament 59-over par, with a total of 923 strokes, while host Arkansas secured the team title at 8-under par.
Junior Fleur van Beek led the way for the Tigers, with an 11th place finish at 9-over, highlighted by seven birdies across the tournament. She closed the tournament with a strong 1-under 71 in the final round.
Senior Addie Dobson tied for 13th place at 10-over par. Dobson delivered Missouri’s lowest round of the tournament, carding six birdies and a 2-under 70 in the second round that placed her in the top-10 at the end of day two. However, a challenging final round saw her shoot 7-over, dropping her placement on the leaderboard by six spots.
Freshman standout Ebba Liljeberg took 30th at 18-over, overcoming a tough second round to climb eight spots on the final day of the tournament. Senior Melanie Walker followed, tying for 42nd at 23-over, while carding eight birdies throughout the invitational. Rounding out Missouri’s lineup was freshman Addie Surber, who finished in 55th at 34-over.
The Razorbacks separated themselves from the competition early, leading all three days of the tournament. The top three teams were rounded out by Kent State at 28-over and Mississippi State at 35-over.
The Tigers will next head to the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Showdown Oct. 6 and 7 in Lawrence, Kansas.
