Legion of Black Collegians Homecoming Royalty was announced at the LBC Homecoming Ball on Wednesday night. Each candidate had to participate in two community service events and two social events while getting people involved. The winners of 2011 LBC Homecoming royalty are as follows:
**King**: Senior Reginald Wilson is majoring in broadcast journalism with a minor in Sociology. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, the National Association of Black Journalists and the Black Programming Committee. Wilson is a sports writer for KOMU/Channel 8. He is from St. Louis.
**Queen**: Senior Ashley Edwards is majoring in marketing with a minor in human development and family studies as well as a member of Tour Team. Edwards is from St. Louis.
**Prince**: Junior Deshawn Woodards is majoring in communication with a business minor. He is the public relations chairman for the National Association of Black Journalists and the Promotions Manager for The BLACKout magazine. Woodards is also employed at the MU Career Center and Mizzou After Dark. He is from Chicago.
**Princess**: Junior Ashley Carpenter is double majoring in psychology and sociology with a minor in women and gender studies. She is a member of Tour Team, Delta Sigma Theta and is the secretary of National Pan-Hellenic Council. Carpenter also works at the Women’s Center and Academic Retention Services. She is from Downers Grove, Ill.
**Count**: Freshman Donovan Charleston is majoring in accounting. He is a member of Mizzou Black Men’s Initiative, Black Business Students Association and IGUIDE. Charleston is from Alton, Ill.
**Countess**: Freshman Danielle Polard is majoring in physical therapy. She is a member of Target Hope and MU Outer Limits Dance Team. Polard is from Chicago.
**Duke**: Sophomore Zachary McGowan is majoring in convergence journalism. He is involved with Mizzou Black Men’s Initiative and MUTV. McGowan is from Kansas City.
**Duchess**: Sophomore Bridget Bradley is majoring in pre-journalism with a minor in business marketing. She is the Marketing Chairwoman for Black Programming Committee, the Public Relations Chairwoman for Mizzou Black Women’s Initiative and a member of the Women’s Club Volleyball team. Bradley hails from Washington, D.C.
