1. Man charged with flashing Walmart employee
At 10:23 p.m. Monday, CPD officers were dispatched to the Walmart at 415 Conley Road in reference to a customer disturbance. An employee showed the officers to the aisle where Thomas Kenney, 20, was yelling at people and pulling down his pants. A female employee told the officers that Kenny had exposed his genitals to her. The officers searched Kenney and found a small amount of marijuana, as well as a marijuana pipe, CPD spokeswoman Latisha Stroer said. He was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree sexual misconduct.
2. Domestic dispute leads to peace disturbance
CPD officers were dispatched to the area of Sixth Street and Park Avenue at 6:23 p.m. Tuesday in reference to a disturbance. Meela Walker-Clark, 27, reportedly got into a physical altercation with Sherri Jenkins, 25, according to a police report. Walker-Clark got into her car with her husband, but Jenkins, the girlfriend of Walker-Clark’s husband, got into the backseat uninvited. Jenkins began punching Walker-Clark, who drove to the police station. Both were arrested on charges of disturbing the peace.
3. Teen arrested for allegedly stealing Xbox
A Columbia area teenager was arrested at 7:48 a.m. Wednesday in the area of Blue Ridge Road and Vista Place. Police were dispatched to the area after receiving a call about two suspicious young men looking over fences as if they intended to break into the houses. The officers knocked on the door of one house, and the two men ran out of the back door. The officers caught 17-year-old Dreshawn Marshall, but the other suspect got away. The owners of the residence identified a bag in the house that did not belong to them containing an Xbox and several games. Marshall was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary, stealing and resisting arrest, all felonies. The other suspect was described as a black male, according to a police report.
4. Bar fight leads to double arrest
At 12:54 a.m. Thursday, an officer was dispatched to the 10 Below Bar at 29 10th Street in reference to a disturbance. The officer found Blake Seutter and John Swoboda, both 21-year-old MU seniors, in a fight outside of the bar. Both men said that they had been pushed by the other while waiting for their drinks, and pushing resulted in a shoving match that ended up outside. Swoboda had an injured left eye, according to a police report. Both were arrested on suspicion of assault.
