####Police find drugs during traffic stop
A 21-year-old woman was arrested at Elm Street and Watson Place at approximately 12:28 a.m. Monday.
While on a routine traffic patrol, police observed a vehicle turn into Hitt Street Garage without signaling. Police stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Alison Becker, MUPD spokesman Brian Weimer said.
Becker was under suspicion of driving while intoxicated, causing police to search the vehicle. A ceramic pipe with marijuana residue and a black metal grinder were found, according to MUPD reports.
Becker was arrested on charges of failing to signal, driving while intoxicated and possession of drug paraphernalia and was released on a $500 bond.
####Police find joints in driver’s water bottle
James Rens, 19, was arrested at Wilson and College avenues at approximately 11:43 p.m. Monday.
After observing a white SUV without illuminated headlights traveling north on College Avenue, police pulled the vehicle over. A strong marijuana odor was coming from the vehicle, according to MUPD reports.
Police searched the car and found two burnt joints in a plastic water bottle located in the center console, Weimer said.
Rens was arrested and charged with possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana and released on summons.
####Man accused of performing oral sex on teen
Police arrested Vonzeal Sheley, 26, on Wednesday after he was accused of performing oral sex on a 14-year-old female in the 1600 block of Sylvan Drive.
Sheley was arrested at 11:30 a.m. at 1716 Southwest I-70 Drive and charged with second-degree statutory sodomy on a bond of $4,500.
####Man charged with assault after slashing woman’s tire
Barry Virges, 26, was arrested on Wednesday at about 7:52 p.m. at Northland Drive after police were dispatched in reference to a reported assault.
The female victim and Virges had been arguing when Virges grabbed a knife and slashed the victim’s front passenger tire so she could not leave in the car, CPD spokeswoman Latisha Stroer said. She said Virges then pushed the victim out of the apartment and closed the door.
Virges was arrested and charged with third-degree domestic assault on a bond of $1,000 and second-degree property damage on a bond of $500.
####Intoxicated man punches holes in apartment walls
Officers were dispatched to South Providence Road at 3:38 a.m. Thursday after a disturbance was reported. When officers arrived, they heard Justin Michael Llanos Floyd, 22, and a female arguing, Stroer said. She said Floyd appeared intoxicated.
The victim reported Floyd punched her multiple times in the face and head. He then stood in her way so she could not leave the house. Several holes were punched in the apartment walls and a hole was kicked in the door. The door frame was also broken.
Floyd was arrested and charged for third-degree domestic assault on a $1,000 bond, second-degree property damage on a $500 bond and a misdemeanor warrant for the original charge of minor in possession of alcohol on a bond of $300.
