Although many hate to admit it, everyone likes Fall Out Boy. Whether you are now into indie instrumentals, edgy rap or psychedelic mixes, “Under the Cork Tree” will always be close to your heart. Hating Fall Out Boy is like hating that angsty teenager who made you who you are today.
But with that being said, not everyone will like the new single, “My Songs Know What You Did In the Dark (Light Em Up).” The truth is, Fall Out Boy has been through a lot since their 2005 album. Pete Wentz is divorced, and Patrick Stump flopped at a solo career.
It is evident the members are in need of easy money. But things like Wentz’s super long song title, Stump’s unique voice and the panty-dropping lyrical content take fans back to a simpler time.
Last week, Fall Out Boy announced the Save Rock and Roll Tour, named after their upcoming album due out May 6. Only the early birds will have the pleasure of seeing the band live because every show sold out.
