####Three arrested at Wolpers Hall
Police arrested two students on drug charges and one student on an alcohol charge shortly before 1 a.m. Tuesday at Wolpers Hall.
Police were called to Wolpers Hall to investigate an alcohol-related incident, leading to the arrest of Corey Neu, 19. Neu was arrested on the charge of purchasing or possessing intoxicants as a minor and released on summons.
While in the residence hall, police detected the odor of marijuana, according to MU Police Department reports.
Upon further investigation, police arrested Ashley Czapla, 18, on suspicion of possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Czapla was bought to MUPD and released on summons, MUPD spokesman Brian Weimer said.
Matthew Breeden, 18, was found in possession of the ADHD medication Focalin XR, leading to his arrest on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance. Breeden was brought to Boone County Jail and released on a $4,500 bond, according to MUPD reports.
####Man driving without lights arrested on Rock Quarry
Officers arrested William Kistner, 22, shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday at Rock Quarry Road and Fellows Place.
Police pulled Kistner over after observing his vehicle moving without illuminated headlights or taillights, according to MUPD reports.
After police conducted a field sobriety test, Kistner was arrested on the charge of driving while intoxicated as a prior offender, as well as on the charge of driving without illuminated headlights.
Kistner was transported to Boone County Jail and released on a $500 bond.
####Three arrested on drug, alcohol charges in Virginia Avenue Garage
Police arrested three individuals on varying charges Tuesday afternoon at Virginia Avenue Garage.
While on patrol, police observed a vehicle travel into the garage through an improper entrance. Police made contact with the driver and detected the odor of marijuana when the driver rolled the window down, according to MUPD reports.
The driver of the vehicle, Nicholas Blood, 21, was arrested on charges of failing to obey a traffic control device, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana. Blood was released on summons.
Laura Abernathy, 20, was found with a metal grinder containing .47 grams of marijuana in her pocket. Abernathy was also found with a small Ziploc bag containing one Ritalin pill. Abernathy did not have a Ritalin prescription, according to MUPD reports.
Abernathy was arrested on charges of possessing drug paraphernalia, possessing 35 grams or less of marijuana, possessing a controlled substance and possessing intoxicants as a minor. Abernathy was transported to Boone County Jail and released on a $6,000 bond.
Jessica Schamel, 19, was arrested on the charge of possessing alcohol as a minor and released on summons.
####Open garage door leads to drug arrest at Log Hill Apartments
In a patrol of the Log Hill Apartments, police noticed an open garage door at 2:46 a.m. Monday and investigated it due to recent thefts from cars and open garages. Officers knocked on the door of the home with the open garage, 5041 Commercial Drive, which was answered by Jourdan Hannah Thomas, 20.
Officers noticed the smell of marijuana and saw Thomas’ eyes were bloodshot, Columbia Police Department spokeswoman Latisha Stroer said. Kevin Mitchel Rudolph, 20, was also in the residence and both were arrested. Rudolph was arrested on charges of possessing drug paraphernalia and Thomas was arrested on charges of marijuana possession. Both were released on signature summons.
####Disturbance ends in domestic assault arrest
CPD officers were dispatched to Tidewater Drive in reference to a disturbance at 1 a.m. Wednesday. Officers arrested Kelly Enright, 52, who had engaged in a verbal argument with his brother that turned violent, CPD spokeswoman Latisha Stroer said. Enright hit his brother in the face and was arrested on charges of third-degree domestic assault with a bond of $1,000.
