**Ally Button**
_Pro stress reliever_
Midterms are upon us. So who ya gonna call? Stressbusters! (Sorry. Had to.)
Have no fear — Stressbusters’ Ally Button can help you with any stress that that terrible joke caused.
Button, a junior studying hospitality management, got involved with Stressbusters as a volunteer during her freshman year at MU.
“I thought that learning how to give a good back rub would be a good thing to do,” Button says.
After taking initiative and climbing the ranks from rookie Stressbuster to event captain to secretary, Button was recently elected president of the wellness program.
And these ambassadors not only give famed five-minute backrubs but also promote health and wellness on campus, according to [Stressbusters’ website](http://studenthealth.missouri.edu/programs/stressbusters.html).
Button encourages students to get involved with Stressbusters.
“It’s a good organization to be in,” Button says. “We recruit at the beginning of every semester.”
**Stacie Allen**
_Manager at New Beginnings_
New Beginnings, a consignment store on Tenth Street, keeps the clothing options open for the public.
“I’ll have customers walk in who are going to weddings, events, funerals, etc., saying they haven’t been able to find anything at the mall, and they leave here with two or three choices,” store manager Stacie Allen says.
Allen first began managing in 2000 after moving from Center to Columbia. Allen previously managed New Beginnings for 11 years and returned five months ago after working elsewhere.
“I like the job because of the recycling aspect,” Allen says. “Look around (the store) — people would have thrown all these clothes away.”
Allen says she found her calling working in small business.
“I like to know that if I have an issue, I can go to directly to the owner,” Allen says. “We take care of each other.”
Allen, who became a grandmother just a year ago, also likes to know that others can rely on her.
“(I hope to) be to my grandson what my grandmother was to me,” Allen says. “I want him to know he can always count on me. You think you won’t be able to love anyone more than your own children, but then your grandkids come along.”
Allen also hopes to retire to the country some day.
“(I’d like to) be still for a bit,” Allen says. “My life has been pretty full.”
