Ronnie Suggs doesn’t know where he’s going to school yet.

Well, sort of.

The Missouri commit is currently thriving during his senior season at Washington High School, averaging 23 points per game for the 15-6 Blue Jays.

But he’s elected to spend a season in prep school to bolster his skills. On that landing spot, he remains undecided.

“I’m not sure where I’m going,” Suggs said. “I’ll know more in the spring.”

After averaging 16.6 points per game as a junior, Suggs spent the summer working on his game both offensively and defensively with his older brother Scott. Scott played college basketball at Washington and is currently the leading scorer for the Erie Bayhawks of the NBA D-League, playing alongside former Missouri center Alex Oriakhi.

“Over the summer, he helped me a lot on my ability to create my own shot, as well as my pick-and-roll game as a ball handler,” Suggs said. “He pushed me all summer to make sure I was ready for this season.”

Suggs committed to Missouri in August after having a good summer on the AAU circuit with the St. Louis Eagles. Missouri coach Frank Haith is slowly forming a pipeline with the program thanks to commitments from Suggs and Notre Dame transfer Cam Biedscheid.

The 6-foot-6-inch Suggs is known for his athleticism and motor, fitting the big-guard play mentality the Tigers currently have with junior point guard Jordan Clarkson. Suggs has been following the Tigers all season and has been impressed with their backcourt play.

“Jabari Brown has been lighting it up from all over recently, and Jordan Clarkson has been a really good playmaker for them this year,” Suggs said.

After leading the Blue Jays to the Class 5A District 10 championship as a junior, Suggs is looking to leave Washington with a hat trick of championships before he moves on to prep school.

“My goal is to win conference, district and state,” he said.
