MU Police Department arrested a freshman on suspicion of selling drugs at Hatch Hall on Monday.
MUPD arrested 19-year-old Matthew Phillip Wasserman after receiving a tip from Crime Stoppers. MUPD Maj. Brian Weimer said the police were able to investigate and get enough evidence to obtain a search warrant.
With the search warrant, police said they found ecstasy, marijuana, alcohol and prescription pill bottles in the room, Weimer said.
According to Boone County Arrests, Wasserman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, drug sale near a school, minor in possession of alcohol and possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana.
He was released from Boone County Jail on a $12,800 bond, Weimer said.
