Over the weekend, Missouri baseball took on the Auburn Tigers for a three-game series. Missouri started off rough by taking an 11–9 loss April 7. Missouri was able to get on a hot streak in the fourth inning, but it wasn’t enough to get the win. In the second game, sophomore starting pitcher Tanner Houck threw a complete-game shutout to take the win over Auburn, 2–0. In the final game, Missouri started out with an early 3–0 lead. Freshman starting pitcher Michael Plassmeyer walked away with the win in the third game, with freshman closer Brian Sharp getting his fifth save of the season as Missouri won 4–3. Missouri’s next SEC matchup will be against LSU at home April 15–17, followed by an away series against South Carolina April 22–24.
