Photo Story: Columbia Swifties pack The Blue Note for The Taylor Party

Dressed in sequin dresses and Travis Kelce jerseys, attendees spent Friday night singing and dancing to songs from the pop star
Swifties young and old came to The Blue Note on Friday, April 5 to enjoy a night of songs from the pop star. DJ Sydney Lee led The Taylor Party with a setlist of songs from various “eras” of Taylor Swift music. Red balloons with some of Swift’s most popular song lyrics such as, “WE’RE TOO BUSY DANCIN’” were handed out to the crowd during the event.

Many wore cowboy boots, friendship bracelets and sequin fringe dresses, inspired by various Taylor Swift “eras.”DJ Sydney Lee trades friendship bracelets with an attendee at The Taylor Party. The practice of trading bracelets has become a tradition for Swifties, which was inspired by a lyric from the song “You’re On Your Own, Kid” from Swift’s 2022 album “Midnights.”DJ Sydney Lee stomps the heel of her cowboy boot on stage to the rhythm of the song. After her debut in April 2021, Lee has since traveled the Midwest to perform at multiple festivals and dance clubs.DJ Sydney Lee joins the crowd and sways her iPhone back and forth with the flashlight on. Many concert attendees danced and sang the song lyrics throughout the night.
