Missouri football lands their fifth three-star commit from the class of 2025

Three-star defensive edge Daeden Hopkins committed to Missouri for football on Tuesday, April 30. Hopkins is the Tigers’ seventh commit from the class of 2025.

Hopkins is staying close to home to play college ball, as the defensive edge resides in Hermann, Missouri. He plays football at Hermann High School, and has racked up 67 tackles, nine sacks, five pass deflections and one fumble recovery in his junior year. Hopkins also plays on the offensive side of the ball, accumulating 691 receiving yards and scoring 11 touchdowns.

Hopkins’ achievements contribute to his ranking as the No. 36 top edge recruit of the class of 2025. He is ranked No. 367 among all recruits in his class nationally.

Hopkins received offers from six other universities including Kansas State, Iowa State and Penn State. He visited Missouri unofficially and announced his commitment just four days after.

The Tigers currently rank No. 26 in the nation in 2025 football commits and Hopkins is the fifth defensive player in that class to choose Missouri.

Missouri has witnessed success with three-star defensive ends in the past. First round draft pick Darius Robinson was considered a three-star when he committed to Missouri back in 2018.
