Missouri voter registration closes today, Oct. 12. Registering by this date will allow residents to vote in the general election on Nov. 8.

Boone County Clerk Brianna Lennon said registering and voting in person is a safe bet for residents due to Boone County’s limited options to vote in advance or by mail.

In addition to registering, residents will need to bring a valid Missouri ID to vote in the general election. According to the Missouri Secretary of State’s website, acceptable forms of identification are:

  • A non-expired Missouri driver or non-driver license
  • A non-expired military ID, including a veteran’s ID card
  • A non-expired United States passport; or
  • Another photo ID issued by the United States or the state of Missouri which is either not expired or expired after the date of the most recent general election.

Out-of-state IDs are not valid when voting in the general election. You may vote by provisional ballot on election day if you do not have a valid photo ID and are registered to vote.
