Receiving 276 more votes than the opposing slate, President-elect Clay Van Eaton and Vice-President-elect Emily Brockmann will lead the Missouri Students Association beginning April 3. This wraps up three days of voting and a three-week campaign period.
Clay Van Eaton and Emily Brockmann of the All in 4 Mizzou slate have been elected as the new Missouri Students Association president and vice president, respectively, for the 2024-25 school year with 50.69% of the votes. The slate takes office on April 3.

All in 4 Mizzou earned 1,538 votes, and Revive the Roar earned 1,262 votes. 12.8 percent of the undergraduate student body population voted in this year’s election period — a 30% increase in voter turnout from last year’s election.
Van Eaton and Brockmann said in their platform that they plan to increase freshman engagement on campus to ensure that future MU students feel at home, unify organizations on the MU campus through MSA and create a more inclusive campus. The Maneater previously released a full breakdown of the slate’s promises here.

Also on the ballot were two initiates for continuing the fee for Mizzou Student Media. The first was a vote on whether to continue including the MSM fee in the Student Activity Fee. This initiative passed with 70.34% voting yes. The second was a vote to make the MSM fee permanent in the student fees and this initiative also passed with 59.16% voting yes.
Additionally, 78.21% of students voted yes to feeling that there should be funds in student dining plans that may be used at off-campus dining establishments. Anna Sikes, the Board of Election Commissioners Chair, said MSA will be using the results of the poll to influence future legislation the organization will propose.

The general election also elected nine new academic senators. Aidyn Gleason, Kaylie Lineback, Vivishi Aurora, Trey Trapani, and Logan Kuykendall will serve the College of Arts and Science. Kate Formhals will serve the School of Journalism. Akbarjon Kamoldinov will serve the College of Engineering. Caleb Simpson will serve the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources.
