Missouri men’s basketball commit Jason Crowe Jr. has been named one of three finalists for the 2025-26 Gatorade National Boys Basketball Player of the Year, placing the five-star guard among the elite ranks of high school basketball’s stars ahead of his college debut with the Tigers.
He joins a finalist group that includes Arkansas commit Jordan Smith Jr. and Duke commit Cameron Williams.
Crowe Jr. closed his high school career as California’s all-time leading scorer, with 4,647 points and is ranked the No. 5 overall recruit in the class of 2026. He also earned Gatorade California Player of the Year honors this season.
The award, presented annually by Gatorade, recognizes the nation’s top high school player for excellence on and off the court.
The Inglewood, California native averaged 43.3 points, 5.8 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game, guiding Inglewood High School to a 28-7 record.
Crowe Jr. headlines what is widely considered Missouri’s strongest recruiting class in years. He arrives alongside forwards Aidan Chronister and Toni Bryant, forming a highly anticipated trio expected to make an immediate impact for the Tigers.
The award finalist nod is the latest in a string of national honors for Crowe Jr. — he is also a Naismith Player of the Year finalist and a Naismith All-American first-team selection. For Missouri fans, it’s further confirmation that one of the most decorated players in the country will soon be making his mark in the black and gold.
