Mizzou tennis is on pace to conclude its 2026 season without a conference win, something it hasn’t done since 2018. The Tigers currently sit at 0-13 in the Southeastern Conference after a close loss to the Arkansas Razorbacks and a shutout by the Oklahoma Sooners.
Doubles against the Razorbacks started with sophomore Gian Octa and freshman Lara Quaglia losing their match 6-0, followed by freshman Alex Ackman and senior Andrea Artimedi falling 6-3. The doubles point went to Arkansas, giving the Razorbacks an early lead.
Singles saw much more action, with Artimedi securing the first point for the Tigers with a 6-3, 6-2. Octa followed, winning 6-4, 6-4, and sophomore Korina Roso added another with a 7-5, 6-4 victory. This would be the last Mizzou point of the day, as Ackman went on to lose a highly competitive back-and-forth match 0-6, 5-7, 6-7. Quaglia would end up losing 6-1, 6-4, granting Arkansas the 4-3 victory on the day.
The Sooners came to town a few days later and handed Mizzou a quick loss on home soil. The day began with doubles, where Roso and sophomore Zoe Lazar lost 6-3. Ackman and Artimedi followed, losing their match 6-2.
Singles saw similar results. Ackman retired from her first match, followed by Roso, who lost 6-0, 6-4, and Artimedi, who fell 6-3, 7-5. Octa, Quaglia and Lazar’s matches all went unfinished, resulting in a dominant Razorback victory.
The Tigers have two matches remaining in the season: one against the No. 4-ranked Auburn Tigers and the last against the No. 16-ranked Florida Gators. While the Tigers may be comfortably in last place in the SEC, a conference win is still on the table.
