Students and faculty joined together on Feb. 25. at noon on Lowry Mall to rally for the rights of minority voices on campus. Aimed beyond one single advocacy group, Thursday’s rally united the voices of multiple different minorities to advocate change for all minority groups at Mizzou. Speakers included members of Hispanic, Asian American, and African American communities. Organized by Danielle Walker, a member of Concerned Student 1950, the rally marks the first event of the semester sponsored by Racism Lives Here, and the fourth of the 2015-2016 school year. In closing, Walker said, “We are done being patient. We are not divided, we are united.”
