####Freshman arrested on alcohol charges
At 12:42 a.m. Wednesday, an MU police officer on patrol near the intersection of Richmond Avenue and Kentucky Boulevard saw a young male who appeared to be intoxicated walking along the street. Upon approaching freshman Nicholas Turnbeaugh, 18, the officer noticed an empty bottle of alcohol in the subject’s hand. The officer asked for his ID, and Turnbeaugh gave the officer false identification. He was arrested on suspicion of possession of alcohol by a minor and false identification.
####Junior arrested after illegal turn
An MU Police Department officer on patrol pulled over a vehicle after it made an illegal left turn from Kentucky Boulevard onto Providence Road at 12:48 a.m. Monday. When approaching the vehicle, the officer smelled alcohol coming from the car. Kevin Craig, 20, was believed to be intoxicated. When the officer asked Craig to provide identification, the officer was given an altered ID. Craig was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, possession of a reproduced or altered ID showing over the age of 21 and failure to turn as directed.
####Student arrested on drug charges in Parking Structure #7
At 9:35 p.m. Monday, an MUPD officer on bike patrol near Parking Structure #7 pulled into the garage and noticed a young man sitting in a car. When approaching the car, the officer smelled marijuana. Junior Nathaniel Boyer, 18, was in the car. Upon confronting Boyer, the officer confirmed that there was marijuana in the car and the suspect was smoking it upon his arrival. One other person was in the car with Boyer. Boyer was arrested on suspicion of possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
####MUPD responds to Psychiatric Center assault
MU police responded to a call at 11:33 a.m. Wednesday from the Missouri Psychiatric Center. Officers arrived at the scene to find Amanda Stull, 30, had assaulted a staff member. Stull is a patient at the Psychiatric Center, and the reason for the attack was not disclosed. The staff member sustained only minor injuries and needed no medical attention, but $1,800 worth of damage was done to a computer. Stull has been arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault and first-degree property damage.
