**C-SPAN bus makes stop on UK’s campus**
UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY — From 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday UK students had the opportunity to go on board the C-SPAN Campaign 2012 Bus as it stopped on campus for part of its Road to the White House tour.
“The purpose of the bus is to showcase our resources, which are free,” said C-SPAN marketing representative Chris DeManche. “It’s an educating and marketing tool.”
Students who climbed on board learned about the website, mobile applications, social media, coverage of campaigns and how C-SPAN covers events, DeManche said, but they also learned about “the candidates, the Electoral College and topical issues like national security, energy, immigration, taxes and other types of issues.”
C-SPAN has had a bus program that has traveled the nation since 1993.

**Acquaintance shocked by former Southeast student’s plot to bomb federal building**
SOUTHEAST MISSOURI STATE UNIVERSITY — Former Southeast Missouri State University student Quazi Mohammad Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis was arrested by the FBI on Wednesday for his involvement in a plot to bomb the Federal Reserve Bank in New York City.
Nafis, 21, came to the United States from Bangladesh in January 2012 on a student visa. He attended Southeast during the spring of 2012. He was pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in cybersecurity and was enrolled in 12 credit hours, according to Southeast News Bureau director Ann Hayes.
Mushfiqur Rahman, a sophomore international student from Bangladesh, met Nafis at an off-campus party in Cape Girardeau last semester.
“What I heard about him today, I cannot believe my own ears,” Rahman said.
According to Rahman, Nafis was elected vice president of the Muslim Student Association while at Southeast.
“Not just anybody can be an officer of that organization,” Rahman said. “You have to be hard-working, and he was.”
Rahman said that Nafis never shared any radical religious beliefs with him.
“We chit-chatted about Islamic religion, but he never talked about our religion in a negative way,” Rahman said.
According to the criminal complaint, Nafis first contacted an FBI confidential informant in early July 2012 to recruit the source (to) assist him in carrying out a terror attack in the United States. Nafis had multiple phone conversations with the source, during which he said that he was in New York City and had come to the United States to wage “jihad.”

**Humans vs. zombies launches battle**
UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA — Another zombie epidemic broke out Sunday night, and once again, a dedicated group of armed humans wearing armbands has rallied to try to survive the outbreak.
The Humans vs. Zombies game has returned to UNC for the fifth time in three years with another weeklong game that begins today.
In the game, zombies, who wear headbands to identify themselves, attempt to tag humans, who wear armbands. If a human is tagged, he or she becomes a zombie.
Stephan Duga, game administrator for Humans vs. Zombies, said the organization holds one weeklong game and one eight-hour night game each semester.
If a human hits a zombie with a sock or a Nerf gun dart, the zombie is stunned for 10 minutes, a period of time in which the zombie will not be allowed to attack humans.
