How do you get someone who hates vegetables to gobble them up? Deep-fry them. This might not be the healthiest way to fulfill your daily vegetable intake, but it sure is tasty. Follow these simple and easy instructions to make mouthwatering fried zucchini sticks, a great way to enjoy a vegetable you might otherwise never eat!
Ingredients:
1 zucchini
1 cup Kikkoman Panko Bread Crumbs
1 tablespoon pepper
1 teaspoon garlic salt (or plain salt)
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 egg
1/4 cup of flour
Directions:
First, place oil into a pan and heat it to approximately 360, or medium-high heat. Cut the zucchini into quarter-inch strips. Wet the zucchini strips with water, and then lightly dry them off. Douse the strips with flour until fully covered. After this, crack an egg into a bowl and beat it until it is a solid yellow color. Dip each zucchini stick into the beaten egg. Once this is done, mix the Panko crumbs, pepper, garlic salt (or plain salt) and chili powder into a bowl. Completely cover each zucchini stick in this breaded mixture. Once each stick is breaded, place them into the pan filled with oil and fry for about 2 1/2 minutes, or until golden brown.
