With the arrival of fall comes cool temperatures, and we all have our favorite things to keep us warm. Whether you prefer drinking a cup of hot chocolate or bundling up in a cozy Snuggie, it’s important to stay warm. So, why not satisfy your taste buds and fight the cold all at once? With my taco soup recipe you can do both and spend minimal time in the kitchen. Ah, the wonders of a Crock-Pot!
Ingredients:
2 pounds ground turkey meat
2 cups diced onions
1 can pinto beans
1 can pink kidney beans
1 can whole kernel corn, drained
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 can diced tomatoes with chilies
1 package taco seasoning mix
Directions:
Place the ground turkey meat and the onions in a heated pan or skillet and cook it until the meat is browned. Once it is browned, drain the excess fat and place the meat and onions, along with the rest of the ingredients, into a Crock-Pot. Cook it in the Crock-Pot overnight or for seven hours. After seven hours, pour it in a bowl and enjoy!
