There is nothing better than waking up to the sweet smell of cinnamon rolls on a cold winter morning. Instead of buying them in a tin can at the store, you can make your own. Impress your family and friends this winter break with this super easy recipe.
Ingredients:
1 loaf frozen white bread dough (thawed in refrigerator)
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup cane sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
2/3 stick butter
1 can vanilla icing
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, combine the brown sugar, cane sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and set it aside for later use. Make sure the frozen dough is fully thawed. When thawed, roll out the dough on a floured cutting board to form a 14-by-7-inch rectangle. Spread the butter evenly on the dough. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the dough. Roll the dough up starting from the long edge. Cut the dough into 1-inch slices. Set the slices aside in a warm spot for an hour to allow the dough to rise. Spray a cooking pan with oil and place the rolls two inches apart. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Once the rolls are fully baked, spread the vanilla icing on top.
