Missouri and North Carolina Central kicked off their game at Mizzou Arena in a slow fashion offensively, but pulled through to win the game 62–52 over the Tigers on Nov. 28. Although the score remained in single digits well into the first half, the Missouri defense was attacking the Eagles on the other end, forcing eight turnovers. After scoring 20 points in the first 20 minutes, the Tigers trailed by four going into halftime. Though the offense picked up during the second half, Missouri continued to struggle shooting, ending the game at 25 percent from the floor and 55 percent from the free throw line.
