The Tigers host four SEC squads, including both Texas and Oklahoma who are playing in their inaugural SEC season
Missouri Softball announced their SEC opponents for the upcoming season, including two series against new SEC teams: University of Texas and the reigning National Champion University of Oklahoma.
The Tigers have four home series and four away series, plus the SEC Tournament in Athens.
Missouri is coming off of a successful 2024 campaign, amassing a 48-18 record and a 13-11 in conference record. The Tigers finished last season ranked No. 12 in the ESPN College Softball Top 25 poll, making an appearance in the SEC championship and hosting the Columbia Super Regionals in the College World Series. They lost to No. 5 Duke in a 2-1 series.
The Tigers look to follow up their successful prior season, led by newly-extended head coach Larissa Anderson.
Missouri opens up SEC play in a series against University of Kentucky from Mar. 7-9 on the road in Lexington. The series sees former Wildcat Taylor Ebbs return back to Kentucky for the first time since transferring into Missouri this offseason.
The Tigers will travel to four other teams in 2025, playing Ole Miss from March 28-30, Mississippi State from April 12-13, University of Alabama from April 25-27 and in the SEC tournament on May 6-10 in Athens, Ga.
Six starters returned for the Tigers’ upcoming season, including SEC All-Defensive right fielder Kayley Lenger and NCFA All-Region and All-SEC second team first baseman Abby Hay. Seven freshmen will make their debut this season, including infielder and outfielder Madison Uptegrove who broke the Missouri state high school home run record last year, notching 49 home runs.
Game times and television assignments will be released at a future date. The schedule is subject to change with adjustments to series end dates possible. The rest of the Tigers’ schedule was not released.
