The movie’s end credit scene hinted at the possibility of a fourth movie, leaving audiences surprised
“Venom: The Last Dance” hit theaters Oct. 24 and fans were ready to watch Venom and Eddie Brock, both played by Tom Hardy, defend the universe again. The sequel to the trilogy series, “Venom: Let There Be Carnage,” left off with Eddie and Venom relaxing in a hotel at a tropical location after defeating Carnage, and “Venom: The Last Dance” does not miss a beat, picking up right where the last movie left off.
When I first saw the expected release of “Venom: The Last Dance,” I made it my mission to avoid any and all spoilers, including trailers. I was successful until the day before I went to see the movie, when I unfortunately saw a trailer. This short trailer gave me insight into what is by far the most action-packed and emotional “Venom” movie out of the trilogy.
I went into this movie prepared that it would most likely be the last one in the series based on the title; however, I do not think this is the case after watching it. Between the mixture of humor, violence and emotion, watchers are taken on a ride of their lives. All three “Venom” movies follow the same basic plot of defending the world; however, “Venom: The Last Dance” ties in other aspects like family and relationships.
Through all 109 minutes of the film, I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen. The plot flowed perfectly and kept me engaged the whole time. The comical timing of curse words being used made it even better and added some lightheartedness to the otherwise tough situations Eddie and Venom experienced throughout the film.
“Venom: The Last Dance” may sound like the end, but the scene following the closing credits may say otherwise. I left the theater with unanswered questions, waiting to see if the “Venom” series continues.
